Webucate Us is the web home of Cyrelle Gerson, freelance Flash and online course developer. I retired recently from full-time association work and I am now applying my experience to a wide variety of new projects.

In the spirit of life-long learning, I also recently completed a masters degree in information technology from Virginia Tech. This experience helped me to improve my software development and computer programming skills, among many other benefits.

Work Experience

I worked for the American Chemical Society for more than 24 years, where I was the leader of the distance education programs. I produced many types of continuing education programs for chemical and pharmaceutical scientists, focusing on courses delivered by various kinds of electronic media, including:

• Internet-based interactive courses
• Live satellite television and videotapes
• Audio-tapes

My previous experience included four years with the American Pharmaceutical Association, where I was responsible for all activities dealing with long term care. I organized and produced seminars, educational programs, and publications for pharmacists and the public.

Early in my career I was a high school chemistry teacher and a university instructor in chemistry and pharmacy. I also spent a few years in chemical and pharmaceutical research as well as 1 1/2 years in pharmacy practice.
